![]() ![]() ![]() My first card is probably my favorite and my most successful use of the shimmer powders (and honestly, it was the easiest, too!). As in, my mojo up and left the building…so when I was feeling a little better I decided to just try playing with something new to see if it helped spark anything! I’ve had these Tonic Shimmer Powders for awhile but hadn’t found time to play with them until now! They’re similar to colorburst powders but have a gorgeous metallic shimmer which I really love! I tried them three different ways (some slightly more successful than others) and ended up with three very different looking cards! I’ve been sick for a few weeks and it really took a toll on my creative mojo. Used for the Simon Says Stamp Lifting hearts card: You probably have something in your stash that would work This is also fun to do with circles, or I could have used the balloon die in the coordinating die set as well. Here’s a close up of my background die cut images. The rainbow heart could also be used for autism cards, children’s birthdays, background for unicorns, the ideas are endless. Finally, white heat embossed the sentiment onto a scrap of black and cut it out before mounting it with foam tape onto the card.Ī finished uplifting card for a dear friend going through the cancer battle.Color the image with copics and then use the coordinating die to cut that adorable little guy out. Use the Misti stamping tool to stamp the bunny and balloons onto Neenah White card stock.That would make a great embossing folder idea don’t you think? I love the subtle background this created. Then, use the two smallest dies from the Nested Hearts dies to cut a bunch of small and medium hearts which can then be glued to the front of the card.Use Tombow Multi-purpose white glue to attach the rainbow pieces.This gives the heart a background and something to glue the rainbow pieces to. Attached this to a white A2 top folding card base.Then, die cut the rainbow heart again for the peek a boo window.cut a piece of Audrey Blue card for the card front with the SSS Stitched Rectangle Wafer Dies. Save the extra pieces for other rainbows. Start by die cutting the rainbow heart 6 times out of a rainbow of card stock.(the downloadable PDF has a supply list, cutting measurements and detailed instructions for the completion of this card).
